I was doing a small commercial shoot at a place I can't usually get access to so I had to take a few for myself while I was there. This creek meandering through the pasture dotted with cows really caught my eye. The high contrast seemed to lend it's self to a monochrome treatment too.

I imagined this photo when I saw the bright light and clear skies with this white structure and white fence. I think it works pretty well, but I might have done better one step back and including the base of the fence post.

Sometimes there is beauty or at least interest in very ordinary things. I try and keep an eye out for these pockets of beauty that are right under our noses or in unlikely places.

I caught the lines of the grate reflecting on the water out of the corner of my eye as I rode by this culvert for probably the 500th time and had to stop and get dirty to get the shot. I love reflections and shadows, so this was something I was excited to discover!

Wow, it was so nice last night. I rode in shorts and short sleeves for the first time in a long while. I just love the long evening shadows. Bring on summer!

They turned off the lifts at Crested Butte for the season and Monarch isn't far behind. Now I'm really starting to think about summer even though I may still ski another time or two under my own power.
This shot was from our favorite family camping spot off Ohio Pass last summer. A strong beam of light was breaking through the trees to light up this columbine on the dark forest floor.

They seem to be in a hurry to get the walls up so I thought I'd better get this while I could. Workers worked into darkness which brought out these great shadows.

Winter is the best time of year to shoot at noon. I still get some good shadows and the snow just makes them stand out so nicely.
